Every participant has the right to be treated with dignity, respect, and fairness.
Our Independent Shared Living (ISL) Program is committed to promoting independence, safety, personal choice, and community inclusion for all individuals receiving services.
⸻Participant Rights
Every participant in the ISL Program has the right to:
1. Respect and Dignity
* Be treated with courtesy, kindness, and respect at all times.
* Live in an environment free from abuse, neglect, exploitation, harassment, or discrimination.
* Maintain personal dignity, individuality, and independence.
2. Privacy and Confidentiality
* Have personal and medical information kept confidential according to applicable laws.
* Receive privacy during personal care, phone calls, mail, and visits.
* Access personal records as permitted by law.
3. Freedom of Choice
* Participate in decisions regarding services, supports, goals, and daily routines.
* Make choices about meals, clothing, activities, and social interactions.
* Express opinions and preferences without fear of retaliation.
4. Safe and Healthy Environment
* Live in a clean, safe, and healthy home environment.
* Receive support services that promote physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
* Be informed of program expectations, safety procedures, and house guidelines.
5. Communication and Community Inclusion
* Communicate with family members, guardians, advocates, and support teams.
* Participate in community activities, educational opportunities, and recreational programs.
* Practice personal beliefs, culture, and religion freely.
6. Financial Rights
* Maintain control of personal finances unless otherwise legally arranged.
* Receive assistance with budgeting or money management only as agreed upon.
7. Grievance and Complaint Rights
* File complaints or grievances without fear of punishment or retaliation.
* Report concerns regarding safety, treatment, or rights violations
. * Request meetings or reviews regarding services and supports.

Rules To maintain a safe and respectful living environment for all participants, the following rules apply:
* No Pets Allowed
* No Overnight Guests Allowed
* No Drug or Alcohol Use Allowed * *Participants are expected to respect staff, housemates, and property.
* Participants must follow safety procedures and maintain cleanliness in personal and shared spaces.
* Failure to follow program rules may result in corrective action consistent with program policies and applicable regulations including immediate termination from program.
⸻ Reporting Concerns Participants, guardians, or advocates may report concerns or rights violations at any time.
